Quick question recently bought a remington 870 police magnum, gun shoots the higher powered stuff fine buck shot and slugs but tried some of walmart bulk pack crap and and the action stuck on these shells any one have an idea whats going on with this .
Lots of us have problems with cheap, steel based ammo. The Winchester bulk packs are notorious for stiff extraction, and the others are not far behind.
Polishing the chamber with 4/0 steel wool will help. Using better shells will also help.
Drop a cleaning rod down the barrel to the chamber. Put on a slotted tip, the big one. Now take a wad of soft cloth smeared with polishing compound and out it on the rod tip. Pull the rod up to where the cloth is in the chamber. attach a drill to the rod sticking out of the barrel. Power up and run the cloth up and down in the chamber. You really can't over do it but when it looks nice and shiney stop. Now it will be better but still only use the cheap stuff for practice or squirrel hunting.
