Remington 870 Magazine Extension

I have a Remington 870 Express (using the 18" barrel) and I want to install a magazine extension. But I can't seem to find any information on what size to use i.e. 2 round or 3 round. I would imagine larger than that would cause it to extend out past the barrel. If a 3 round extension would be shorter than the barrel then perfect. Does anyone have experience with this and can give some useful insight.

Also I do know about the tabs inside the magazine that need to be pushed out. If someone has a surefire way of knocking them out, advice on that as well would be much appreciated.

Here's a +2 on my 20" 870. Should be fine with a +2.
Also get a Wilson Combat extension, better quality than choate.

For what its worth, I have the Wilson Combat +2 extension on my 870 express 18inch. Its just shy of reaching the end of the barrel. It looks good.

And as for the tabs, you are certainly gona want a dremel tool. It has to be perfectly smooth for proper function...
