Remington 870 Front Bead-Threaded Or Press Fit?

I have a Remington 870 Pump 12 gauge and am getting ready to install the HIVIZ Tombuster II Sights to the vented rib barrel. Is there any way to determine if the front bead is threaded on the barrel or if it is press fit? Are there any suggestions to remove the bead without damage in case I want to re-install at a later date? I am no gunsmith but have rebuilt many antique autos and repair machinery on our farm all the time so I am familiar with most tools. Any help appreciated. Thanks...

(Asking, not disagreeing) - that's true for the beads on the pedestal as well?

BTW/FWIW, I had a bead on a Franchi that I thought (incorrectly) was threaded in. I got it out and it was easy to tap the hole for an appropriately-sized threaded bead.

For some reason the 870 I am talking about has no markings on the gun at all that tells me whether it is a Express, WingMaster or Police. It just says "Remington 870" and has a serial number. Anyway.... I took the plunge today and carefully removed the front bead, it was threaded in and was relatively easy to remove.
Thanks...
