Remington 788 vs 700 dimensions

Does anyone know if the barrel thread pattern on my 788 is the same as a Remington 700? Also, are the receiver dimensions similar? Thanks

Dear Shooter:
I'm trying to find this for you - I've got Remington 700 bbls in the shop but no 788 barrels.
Years ago ( I removed a 788 bbl and it had a "rubberized" coating on it and I think had finer threads than the 700.
If you intend to rebarrel either just remove the bbl, measure it up and thread one up to those specs.

The thread pattern for 788 is 1''x20tpi.The 700 is 1 1/16x16tpi.

Thanks. I was hoping that I could use one of the short chambered barrels available with Rem 700 threads to easily rebarrel my 788. I guess that it will be slightly more complicated of a rebarrel job. Again, thanks.
