Remington 7600 questions

I was browsing through Remington's website and considering that semi auto rifles are illegal here in Australia, when I saw the 7600 I immediatley took an interest, as quite frankly I don't get to excited about bolt action rifles, and while I have an interest in lever action rifles, I'd prefer a lever in either .223 or .308.

So what I want to know is - what is the current U.S. retail price of the 7600 synthetic model (don't worry about the currency difference, I'll just double the price to get a general idea)?

And has anyone manufactured decent 10+ round magazines of late? If so who sells them?

Of course considering that pump action shotguns are limited to people who actually have an occupational need for one here in Australia, turning up to the local rifle range with a pump action longarm will certainly raise a few eyebrows. :p

No idea as to price. Cabellas had some plastic & metal 10-rounders in their last shooting catalog ($9 & ~$20, IIRC). No idea as to "how good." Cheaper Than Dirt would be a good place to look ....

Sorry, no real help there, but did have to stick in my $.02 & plug on the pumps.

Think they're way underrated. Mine's (760) very accurate, very fast & in .30-06, a very PC "assault rifle."

The local Wal-mart had them for $320 with the walnut stock. I think this might have been a special purchace since none of the receivers had the engraving on them. Otherwise--I usually see them in the $400 range---give or take.

I just saw the 7600 auto in 30-'06

at my local Wal-Mart for $399. This was with black plastic furniture, and I'm not sure aobut receiver engraving. I would imagine that the low $300's sounds about right for the pump version.
