Not a Remington expert, but with a little research it reappears that it is somewhat rare. Supposedly only one year of production with 300 total being made.
I could be wrong. Hope a Remington expert has definite information
Cable's show a couple in their used inventory at $800-$950. Some are listed on various gun auction sites up to $1150.
But don't take my word, wait for a real Remington collector.:D

From what I can tell, the price quoted above is pretty dang on. Of course regions of the country do have a effect on price. But price range is very close.

A quick trip to www.remington.com firearms history shows that the 7600 was not made in 300 Savage, but that the 760 was. It may have been, but their site does not show it as being produced since the 7600 was introduced in 1981. I have seen a few 760s in 300 Savage, as it was once quite popular before the 308 was introduced.

I've heard persistent rumors about 7600s in .300 Savage for years, and there's enough information on the web about the subject for me to say that yes, they're real, they're few in number, and I need to get one before they all disappear.

Supposedly the 7600s in .300 Savage were made in 2006 or 2007 on special order, as a batch of 300, for a gunshop in Pennsylvania.

That would make sense because the Remington pump rifles have always been extremely popular in Pennsylvania, and the .300 Savage has also had its fair share of popularity there.

I own a copy of Remington Autoloading & Pump-Action Rifles by Eugene Myszkowski with copyright of 2002. There are no records of a 7600 in 300 Savage. But Grice Gun Shop in Pennsylvania has often offered special runs of the 7600 built in non-cataloged calibers. Its likely that this rifle was built for Grice after 2002.

ok well it isn't my gun. a guy I hunt with has it and is thinking about selling it. he told me at first it was the 7600 but now he said it is the 760. he sent me a picture to prove it. it is the 760 gamemaster. So now whats it worth beings its a 760??

I will probably start a new thread unless I can figure out how to change the name of this thread and put it as 760
