Almost two years ago I bought a new Remington 750 carbine in .308. The very first time I tried to shoot it I encountered jamming problems. With the magazine loaded so there is a cartridge on the right side of the magazine(either one or three cartridges in the magazine), as the bolt tries to cycle back the lug on the bottom of the bolt gouges deeply into the shoulder of the cartridge. Usually this results in a jam, when it doesn't jam there is still a deep gouge. I have tried Federal fusion150's and Remington green box 150's. Same results. At first I thought I had a bad magazine, replaced it with a model 7400 mag, which is supposed to be interchangible. No dice. I thoroughly cleaned the entire gun and lubed, no dice. So back to the factory. No dice, they claimed a bad magazine was the culprit. This rifle has been back to Remington four times now and now they are claiming there is nothing wrong with it, yet it persists with the same problem. I would be inclined to think it is either a magazine problem, or perhaps the magazine latch, it seems that the magazine isn't in quite the right spot for reliable feeding. Any thoughts on possible problems, I'm afraid I have burned my bridge to the Remington factory, I have never encountered such incompetence.
