D DnPRK New member Feb 15, 2009 #2 I tighten the screws in stages. They aren't big bolts, so the torques aren't gorilla tight. Install front and rear screws loosely. Slide the barreled action rearwards to seat the recoil lug against the shoulder in the stock. Tighten the front screw to 25 inch-pounds (NOT foot-pounds) initial stage. Tighten the rear screw to 25 inch-pounds, initial stage. Tighten the front screw to 35 inch pounds, final stage. Tighten the rear screw to 30 inch pounds, final stage. You're done.
