remington 700 convert to magazine

Hello,

I have an older model 700 (30-06) BDL. I would like to convert this to a detachable magazine. I know there are kits available, some a bit $$. I would prefer to use stock parts. In addition to the trigger guard and magazine is there anything needed? Any inletting required?
