Next years Classic will be a special edition.
The drilling and tapping will be done on a right angle to the receiver and to the correct depth with clean taps. This will mark a departure from Remington's usual procedure of whatever looks good and a return to the 'classic' procedure. This should make a visit to a local gunsmith much less necessary.
The muzzle will be clean and true, not the typical 'fell of a table and onto a concrete floor' approach to finishing the crown of the barrel.
The stock will be properly fitted with no gaps or obvious flaws. This level of attention will only appear on the Classic.
All chambers will be concentric with the bore, a return to the classic form of barrel making. Again, this feature will only be available on the Classic, all other models will continue to be non-concentric.
Caliber? Took a bit to get here but I'd bet .270.
