Remington 700 ADL new

Recently got a new Remington 700 ADL Rifle and scope combo at cabelas for $450.

I just love the gun so far! It's action is very smooth and the rifle is just so darn light. I am going to get a sling and Harris bipod for it soon I hope to make it a little better and perform better.

I got it in 30-06 because I love the caliber and have wanted to get a gun in that caliber for years. And that's the only caliber cabelas had for the Remington 700 ADL rifle and scope combo. The caliber is not to big for me cause I have shot bigger calipers before and the butt pad on the Rem 700 Adl is so soft!

I am hoping you guys can help me on some 30-06 ammo cause I want some cheap ammo cause I bought two boxes of 30-06 ammo for $17 at cabelas(20 round boxes), I was wondering if you guys could point me to some cheaper ammo because I really want to shoot this gun ALOT! I will be reloading in the future vut I need ammo to get started and if I don't have any reloaded bullets ready to shoot some time.

Thanks,
Zach

$17 per 20 is pretty cheap for 30-06 if you ask me...You can barely find 30-30 round my parts for that price....You should see what I paid for 20rds of 338 Win Mag... Just to blow downrange to reload the brass my own way! :D

Want cheaper ammo that is still quality?? Roll your own! ;)

Glad you like your ADL. I think it's pretty hard to beat an ADL for solid entry level rifle that will perform. I have one in 270 Win. Matte black steel, black synthetic, 22" BBL, topped off with a Bass Pro Redhead 3-9x scope (it was a Bass Pro combo). 3/4" groups at 100yds consistently. :)

I think you did well on the price. Don't know about the scope but for the price it's hard to beat.

The ADL is a cheaper model but that doesn't really matter, it's still nice. The stock is less than ideal and the trigger will probably not adjust lower than 5 lbs. You may want to replace them later on but there is no hurry.

Congrats
