I just bought a model 700 adl .264 mag. Been after one for years. So I was wondering if the 700 sps long action stock from a .270 will work with my 700 adl. I know I need a floor plate, but will the rest fit?

Yep. It will fit. I swapped a late 70's BDL stock on my ADL and it works fine as long as its a long action to long action.

Thanks guys, im really excited about this caliber, I have been after one since I was a kid. Killed my first buck and elk with one I borrowed from my grandpa. Anyone have a floor plate and trigger guard assembly they want to part with?

You'll need all of the bottom metal and a mag box. By the time you purchase all of the stuff you need to convert your ADL to a floorplate in a cheap stock you can be more than 1/2 way to a quality ADL stock from McMIllan. I'd keep it as an ADL, either in the factory stock or put a really good stock on it. No reason to downgrade your stock just to get a floorplate.

You will also probably need to open up the SPS stocks barrel channel for a magnum barrel contour. Not hard, but one extra step.

From McMillans "specials" webpage. This is ready to ship. www.mcmfamily.com
