Remington 700 30.06

I bought a 30/06 700 ADL a few months ago, got to shoot it for the first time not long ago. It was indoors, so I had no problems with wind or weather.
The rifle I bought had the synthetic stock.
Using a Varix II Leupold, the first shot was on the paper, about four inches low. Within five shots, it was shooting a nice group in the bullseye area, but covering mainly a two inch area. I feel that once I get used to it and find the right load (I was shooting 150 gr M1 Garand loads) it will be an excellent shooter.

, ArtI've got the "Classic", bought when they first came out. With the right handloads, mine will keep 5 shots at an inch or slightly less. The only problem I've had came when I removed the gun from the stock. It took quite a while to "settle" in again! I'm sold on the 700! Everything fits me perfectly.
