I have recently inherited my fathers old Model 512 Remington bolt action .22.
It has been sitting in a closet for 30 years and took it to the range this week, marveling at the accuracy of the old rifle.
I went to clean it, and for the life of me, cannot get the bolt back in. There is a metal piece sticking up preventing the bolt from going back in, not sure what it's called (no instruction manual-it's over 50 years old) and I don't have a camera to post pics. I've tried pushing the piece down to no avail and don't want to risk breaking a family heirloom so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
