What can I do to fix the loose bolt handle on my 510? Can it be soldered? If yes, what is the difficulty rating on soldering? Other than having the right solder can a regular propane torch from a home inprovement store work?

IIRC, they are riveted, not soldered, so it is easy to disassemble the bolt and tighten up the handle.

Bolt handle

Sir;
I've seen this before; the handle proper is threaded (I think) into the reciever locking lug and, as Jim says could be refastened with some loc-tite ot other means. I've never seen a safety isseue over this.

Very easy to fix. Take the bolt out and look under the handle. You will see a small indent on the underside of the bolt. It is where the bolt handle meets the receiver locking lug. Take the tip of the punch and tap it here in the indent. It may take a couple of taps but will tighten up the handle. This can be done on the 510,511,512,513,514 and 521 Remington rifles. Tim
