When I talked to Remington they said that they need the entire rifle, so they can test fire it.

I am replacing the bolt, because the original is MIA. The rifle belonged to a friend of my father's whom recently died. My father had the stock, and trigger for years, and he thought the barreled action was at a gun shop. The barreled action minus the bolt turned up when the family of the deceased had a yard sale.
This was the original owner's money gun, and I would like to put it back in service as a kind of memorial. He taught me some valuable lessons about marksmanship, and life in general.
