Remington 30-06 SPRG action ID

I have this barrel which clearly states what it is but how do you determine what action it is made for? Is it for the 700?

I have a mess of barrels and stocks I am starting to try and identify as you can see in the last picture here. Most of it is WWI era Mauser stuff. That is just a small sample of what I am needing to ID. Is there a definitive guide somewhere out there that would help me ID all of this stuff?

I would like to build up a nice Mauser for myself during this process. Just need to put the right parts together.

Can't help with identifying, sorry, but if you dont have a receiver for your mauser build, take a look at Sarco's. I was checking out their website yesterday and theye have Turk mauser receivers for $20 (no bolt) and some german 98 receivers for $150. Not advertising, just thought I'd share a good deal. I was thinking buying one of their Krag M1898 receivers, figured it would be a fun project.

Yes, it is from a Model 700, made in April 1966 if I read correctly. ("SPRG" stands for "Springfield" and is part of the name of the cartridge for which the barrel was made, the .30 caliber cartridge developed in 1906 at Springfield Armory.)

I do have plenty of actions. I will have to sort through those later. But thanks for the info.

What gives it away? Is it the type of threaded end?

Now I just need to ID all those stocks...
