Remanufactured Ammo & Crimped Bullets

Couple of well known HV and GA, do a great job with remanufactured ammo (once fired brass). At issue, is with a semi-auto. Loads and pushes bullet into the casing, now in chamber with increased pressures Ga Boom??

Key-lack of crimp. As a rule, would you ever use remanufactured ammo NoT CRIMPED in a semi-auto? Also, are there any remanufactures who do crimp the bullets? Does Black Hills??

With ye venerable M1 Garand-type semiauto rifle, I routinely shoot lotsa ammo with no channelure, no crimp and no problem.

That rifle will literally feed an empty case. Impact on bullet tip is "beddy, beddy small." Re-feeding the same round 5+ times results in bullet setback of maybe 1 millimeter, which is insignificant for the case volume and has no measurable effect on pressure or velocity. .30-06 is a big case, compared to the .357 SIG...

The M1A will not quite feed an empty case (shorter cartridge), but still has a minimal bullet impact on the feeding cycle.

Never had a problem with bullet setback in either rifle. Go ahead and buy the remanufactured stuff. Give no money to the Red Chinese! Let them finance their purchase of U.S. military secrets the old fashioned way...

If remanufactured is the only way to "buy American," then that's the way to go.
