You are not kidding about an entirely difffernt class. Class dollars.
I have a question for you: How many 'Long Range' rifle shooters do you know who, right now, have a individual come-up chart for anyone of their long range rifle(s)? Not the one off an ammo manufatures website, but a real come-up chart, say in 50 & 100 yard incriments, in 4 different temperature zones, out to 1,000 yards? How about the British Wind rule? How about a rifle logbook with the number of rounds fired, rifle modifications and results? How many of us get to Angle shoot? How many long range shooters can BZO their rifle with confidence-right now? And this is just the begining. Now...
I wouldn't have much of clue to any of this if I hadn't had more than one friend who paved the way for me with Remingtons & Leupolds.
I own a 700 PSS and I want a SAKO. Every time I think about upgrading my 700 to a SAKO I think about all the fine shooting points I need to maintain & improve on. Not to mention ammo costs, range & travel expense and, and, the realization that I've yet to shoot up the capability of my 700 & M3. I'm humbled.
