Rem Oil?

I bought a bottle of Rem Oil the other day and it seems to be a pretty good oil. Anyone else use it and what do you think of it? I have used Break-Free CLP for a long time and decided to give the Rem Oil a try. After 400 rounds of Buckshot, I'd say my new 870P is broken in now.

I've used in the past but worried about the cautionary note on the bottle warning against getting it on the stock finish. Now I use FP-10 for all firearms cleaning/lubing.tom.

Rem Oil seemed to run off the gun too easily in holster (handgun) carry in hot weather. I went back to Break-Free CLP. I also wouldn't use an oil that shouldn't touch wood.

A lot of duck hunters I know think the stuff is posion. They use FP-10 and Miltec-1. I put miltec on my SBE and man it sure seems a lot slicker than before.

I have used several products including Break free.I will never use anything now but Eezox. It is hands down the best CLP type product I've ever used.Cleaning,as a lube and rust protection all with a dry non sticky residue left over.To top it off, no fumes and smells great.I threw out my hoppes,Rem oil,Break free,Militec etc.I now have a single spray can of Eezox and lots of room in my cabinet.

Pour it out on the ground and put some good oil in the bottle. Rem-oil is WAY too thin, will thicken to the point of hanging things up in sub freezing temps, and leaves a messy thick gummy teflon coating if used repeatedly. JUNK IMO!!!

Mobil 1 0w-20 if in real cold, 15w-50 for all other conditions. Best gun oil I have found. FP 10 is close, and smells better too. Your choice.

Well, I've been using RemOil w/teflon for several years now on all my firearms (rifles, shotguns, revolvers and pistols) and have never had any of the "problems" some people seem to have.

I used the Rem oil for years until I tried Break free and Militec. I won't be buying the Rem because it's just not as good as the others.
