Rem moisture guard rust preventative?

Hey I'm new here and was just wondering if anyone has any luck with the Remington moisture guard. I have a gun safe with silica desiccant and I clean my guns and put a layer of moisture guard on before they go in the safe and after any handling. I was just wondering if anyone has had negative results with this. I don't want to get any rust!

I've never used Rem Moisture Guard or any other silicon wipe. I do keep my guns (the ones that aren't loaded for EDC or HD) in a safe with desiccant packages. Thus far I haven't had any rust on my guns.

I abuse my guns in that I shoot them regardless of weather. Rain, snow, sun, cold, hot, dry, humid etc. If its range day and range time I'm on the range shooting.

If my guns got wet I bring them home, dry them, clean them and lube them then put them away where they belong.

I personally believe that with proper and regular care of your firearms you don't need all these silicon wipes, moisture guard etc.

Of course I could be way off base and I just happen to get lucky with my guns not developing rust.

Thank you for the response, that is kind of what I figured! I just know many have alot more experience and I will listen gladly! I am about the same as you, I shoot as much as possible and under any conditions!
