I'm about to buy a Remington model 700 SPS Tactical in .308 caliber. My question is, can I adapt this gun to accept magazines like the SPS DM? Thanks in advance for any opinions

HS Precision Detachable Magazine Kit (how do the marketing gurus come up with these names??) and Kwik Klip are just two of the "drop-in" magazine conversion kits on the market. They are relatively easy to install and work well.
And, lest we forget, Remington has the detachable magazine option as well.

Yes, here is mine with a Wyatt's Outdoor Detachable Magazine Assembly and a Bell & Carlson Medalist stock.

That's awesome, but the 300 dollar price tag is pretty high.... How is the fit on the mag??

The mags are a little loose in the well but so far I've had zero failures to feed with either the 5 or 10 round mags. I've only put about 250 rounds through it though so time will tell.
