I have a Parkerized Remington 870 Home Defense Express Magnum 2 3/4" - 3" shell with 3" extension tube, "ammo sleeve", synthetic stock, soft case, and a whole ammo box full of Remington 00, 000, and rilfed slugs. Only fired 10 rds. though it, and cleaned. What is it's approx. value / dealer trade-in value? Thanks!!!

Probably not more than $300 or less than $200. The competition here is new Expresses and old police turnins. Addons and mods do not usually raise the value much.

Reading between the lines, and I apologize if I'm wrong...

You're better off getting some light loads and shooting them until your form improves, then going for the Testosterone Builder loads. Don't start with 00 and slugs, work up to them....

Is this the same SG for which you were asking about slugs? Did you hurt yourself? What happened?
Regarding value....
I shopped around for a long while before I bought my first 870. I seldom saw them for more than 300 or less than 200, no matter if they were Express, Wingmasters or HD's. There were a few guys trying to sell them for prices way above that but they rarely sold and I can only imagine what knucklehead they talked into buying it.
The problem (if you're a seller) is that they are so easy to customize that accessories are of almost no value.
I find that wood does little for the value since I can refinish just about any stock that is not complete junk. Barrels, cheap.
About the only thing that is worth paying extra for, in my opinion, is a real nice blue finish like you might find on a nice old Wingmaster.
It is easy to get even the crappy Express models to work smoothly.
As far as trade-in, I assume it would be less than resale, right? ;)
YMMV, and probably will,
Mike
PS. My second 870 was in the "under 200" category. Live and learn I guess.

$200.00 trade in is about what a dealer will allow, meaning he'll only be putting $100 to $150 at the very most in your gun. Try to sell it for $200.00 and use the cash to purchase whatever gun you want. You'll come out way ahead. With cash in hand, your dealer should come down off the retail price a little.
