Just picked up a Rem 788 in 22-250. Excellent shape with a Burris Signature 3x12 scope. Trigger is crisp but 5 1/2 lbs. Does this trigger adjust like a 700? Info appreciated. Clint

Although I am not a gunsmith, I did ask several 'smiths this question after my recent purchase of a 788 in .308. The common answer was that the factory trigger is not adjustable.
Great shooting gun though. I feel like I can get 1/2 MOA easy with proper ammo and a good solid shooting position. I got a 3/4 MOA three shot group with a called flyer right after I bought it.
I have it at a friends shop now getting the stock done in black/grey spiderweb epoxy finish and a new "Terminator" recoil pad installed. Of course, the obligatory 'glass bedding and free floating is being taken care of as well.
