Rem. 7400 for left-handers???

I'm looking into getting the PC auto-loader, Remington 7400. I'm left handed and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with case ejection problems (hopefully not in the face, as too many rifles tend to do).

Thanks in advance for any of your kind responces.

Ehenz,

I'm left handed and have been hunting for 4 seasons (whitetail) with a 7400 carbine in 30-06. No problems with jamming (keep the chamber clean and dry) or cases striking me (they are really hot when ejected!)

By the way, if you have access to a machinist or a mill/good drill press, you can reverse the safety. The spring and detent ball are off center of the trigger housing, simply drill a new hole for the ball/spring and cross pin, the same distance as factory, on the oppisite side of centerline (it will need to be clocked relative to safety cylinder axis). Re-install safety the other way. This is reversable too. I have modified all my 7400/7600 rifles and 870's/11-87 shotguns this way. It works with either the aluminum or the composite trigger housing. I haven't tried it on the new style keyed safety though.

Regards,
kerth
