I am going to look at a 700 varmint 22-250, 26" heavy barrel, timney trigger, walnut stock, and rings (dont know what brand rings) supposed to be 95% condition for 675.00. Just wondering if this is a fair price.
If it matters..Serial Number: B6300434

I just purchased a rifle awhile back, and I looked at several different brands and that sounds like about the going price on that 700

Could be a decent price on a used rifle if it's a rifle you want. On a .22-250 I'd want to put a bore scope down it for that price. $675 is a lot of mone if the barrel is burnt out.

I got a Rem700 22-250 in 2004 for $180 private sale
I got a Rem700 7mmRM in 2012 for $300 private sale
I got a Rem700 7mmRM in 2012 for $400 with Leupold scope at pawn shop
I got a Rem700 270Win in 2014 for $400 private sale

if your planning to reload, make sure you pick up the brass, bullets and dies that is on the for sale page here at TFL, it's a pretty good deal. I was tempted to buy it and I don't even have a 22-250, but I figure if I bought the dies and brass it'd be a great excuse to get one.

fair price, bet you could get it down to 625-650, just exploit some scratches or something. if it's at a store, make sure to tell them you'll take it, but you want that 675$ out-the-door at the very least.
you can get the brand new synthetic for 575, varmint/heavy barrel 26" and stock it as you see fit. the one your looking at will definitely save a bit, but your getting used rather than brand new when probably an extra hundred and fifty bucks could get your rifle the way you want it brand new. of course that timney trigger is about 100$ right there if it's something you have to have. good luck, great gun.
