Rem 700 w/ Box Magazine???????

A buddy called me earlier and says he saw a left handed Rem 700 30-06 i might like and he says it has a detachable box magazine.....i don't see any listed with box magazines in the current web site for remington......is there such an animal......Thanks....Dick
 
Yep

Used to be................they had problems with feeding, and discontinued them.
Unless they started again.....NOT likely, after the fiasco of the past several years.:(
 
I've got a PSS with a detachable magazine, and it may be the only thing about the gun that I actively dislike. It most decidedly doesn't feed well.
 
I once obtained a 700 LTR with the detachable mag. It would not feed. I sold it at a gun show and obtained the later version with the regular floorplate. Do not waste your money on a Rem 700 with detachable mag.
