rem 700 receiver length questions

I was wondering if the remington line of magnum receivers are the same length as their ultramag receivers. (in other words say a .300 win mag sps. same length as .375 ultramag xcr?) also what is their receiver lengths?
I'm contimplating building a .378 weatherby based magnum on a rem 700 action......I know that it has been done before on a magnum action but if the ultramag action is longer then it would be the better choice for me.
thanks,

Remington lists their .375 UM in their Model 798 only. They do list a 700 in .300 UM. However, I suspect a long magnum action will do.
Don't have any cartridge diemsions for any of the UM's or Weatherby cartridges. Remington doesn't mention action dimensions either. Nor is there anything online that I could find.
Wouldn't touch any of the Weatherby cartridges myself. Ammo and brass is horrendously expensive.

Dear sir:
That 378 ultra-mag will literally take your shoulder off! It is probably the sharpest recoil in the world! I'd go with the 375 H.H. standard; it will much more easy on you.
I personally opt for a 9.3X64, even for African hunting or a 416 Taylor. The 9.3X62, or 9.3X64 are excellent for any bear, elk, etc. I'd avoid the 378!
It's a good catridge! but I thought I'd warn you - it kicks like H----.

HB- no trust me I dont plan on building a .375 ultramag or .378 weatherby mag, but want I want to build is a .378 weatherby based cartridge.....such as a 6.5mm x .378 weatherby. I know, I know....I'm probably gonna catch flak for this cartridge choice but hear me out first.
For one thing brass is of no concerne as I have more than enough around as I already have a 30/378 weatherby, next the rifle would wear a SS 3 groove lilja barrel somewhere around 30-32 inches to burn all that powder and the rifle would pretty much be a bench gun and if I ever get drawn for wyoming antelope it would go. Oh and one other thing I would be shooting 140 -160 grain bullets too.
t-o'heir - I think your mistaken on the .375 ultra in the 798 configuration, I think you meant .375 h&h. but your right on one thing and that is that remington nor anybody else for that matter dont have action dimensions about the 700 receiver. I do have cartridge dimensions for the cartridges I have listed and while they are not far off, I do know that a 30/378 was built on a 700 and the gunsmith had to machine a notch in the receiver in the forward part of the ejection port to allow an unfired case to be ejected.
OH and one last thing, while I know barrel life is significantly less on a 6.5/378 weatherby cartridge once I get the thing sighted in and load tested for various distances it will probably be only fired 100 times a year.
