Rem 700 ADL Synthetic Youth, your opinions.

Seems like a neat little bolt gun. Probably will scope it with a Trijicon Accupoint 1.5-4X. I would use it mainly for punching paper out to 300 yards and might even try hunting. I think I like its size, value and the reputation of the 700 as a good action. What do you think?

8200,

I bought one for my son a couple of years ago and we have been very happy with it. It is a very handy length and I enjoy shooting it, even if the LOP is a little short for me.

If the ADL fits you, then I'd say get it. You might want to adjust the trigger, as it'll be 6# or so, from the factory. The reason I asked about your size is that I bought a Rem. 870 "Youth" model for my son, and he outgrew it before the first season was out. If you've quit growing, and the ADL feels good to you, it'd be hard to beat for the money. Should shoot m.o.a., with the right ammo, scope, etc.

I bought one and put an HS precision stock on it, a Badger ordnance picatinny 1913 rail, Leupold qd rings, and a Burris 4x20 compact scope. I also have an ACOG reflex with an ARMS qd mount. It is very accurate and handy. I love it. The rifle itself was special ordered from Wal Mart and IIRC, it was $349.
