I have a savage long range predator hunter in 6.5 creedmoor with accutrigger. Trigger is 1.5#'s with just using the factory adjustment set all the way down (using wheeler trigger gauge). Has the alum. bedding block so no flex in the stock. Insanely accurate with factory ammo.
The only thing I didn't like about the stock was it had a stupid mossy oak type camo and was really slick. I painted it with some rock tectured rattle can and put a couple coats of matte clear coat on it. Worked great.
I was origionally looking for a rem 700 in .308 as an upgrade to my weatherby to build into a long range gun. Fell in love with the savage though, it's far better IMHO. Trigger is amazing, stock doesn't need upgrading (could use a cheek pad if you use a big scope), and I like the tang safety. The 6.5 creedmoor is a better cartridge too, as far as slipping wind and ballistics are concerned. But I reload both, so ymmv.
