N norsecat Inactive Mar 6, 2008 #2 The same The Remington 600 and 700 have the same short action receiver so all parts fit. The barrel is 16 TPI and 1.06 inch diameter. A good gunsmith will have no problem fitting a new barrel to a 600 action. A I R A Gunsmith.
