I need to have some work done on my 3200 trap gun and in the process of shopping for a qualified gunsmith who knows his way around this model, I spoke to a gunsmith who appears to know what he is doing. However, I would like to verify some things he said about this particular gun. Can anyone help verify or shed light on:
1. New style 3200's have a floral wreath included around the pointer dog roll engraving on the reciever. Old style does not have the wreath -- just the dog on point in a small field of grass.
2. the fore end iron attachments are different in how they secure the fore end iron to the wood. Apparently, the old style attachement did not secure the iron to the wood well enough and a change was made to strengthen the arrangement.
Thanks in advance for any help or clarification.
