A friend of mine has asked me to help him install a synthetic stock on his 1100. I'm not familiar with Remingtons, are there any tricks to removing and installing a buttstock and handguard? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I replaced one years ago so might not be much help but was in jr high at the time I believe that you only need to remove the 2 screws in butt pad and then nut on end of threaded shaft and the stock should just slide off the long steel threaded shaft. Hope this helps it was back during the cold war last time I looked at one.

To kill or not to kill (a mockingbird), that is the question. No, but I'm still waiting for a shot at that rabid dog.
