The model 1100 is a gun that will probably shoot skeet loads forever without any problems. With a steady diet of full power loads, it didn't hold up as well, and tended to break down. I imagine that an 1100 would hold up fine as a SD shotgun with low recoil ammo, like Fed Tactical.
However, the 11-87 came along and solved the problems associated with lots of heavy field loads. My questions are:
1. How is the cycle reliability with loads it was designed to shoot (I know you have to keep them clean)?
2. Will it reliably work with low recoil SD ammo such as Fed. Tactical buckshot and slugs? (was it designed to shoot them?)
