I use a bunch of hotter reloads - but in 1 oz I like Hodgdon Clays at 19.8gr with a WIN 209 primer and the 12SL wad at about 1290 fps. Hodgdon International has a load at 21 gr for a little less pressure with the WIN 209 primer and the 12SL wad.
If you want to go to 1 1/8 oz I wuold load International at 21.1 gr the win 209 primer and the WAA12 wad this time. You can get a 1 1/8 oz load out to 1310 fps but you need to look at Hodgdon Universal and a REM fig 8 wad but at 25gr it's pretty dirty.
If you like them real Hot - 1 1/8 oz and use hodgdon Longshot REM 209P primer and WAA12 wad at 30.6gr it will give you 1420 psi, and at 32.7 gr ut wukk give you 1530 fps ( there is a similar load with WIN 209 primers and WAA12 wad 31.7gr Longshot 1420 fps or 33.5 gr at 153 fps
But anytime you get over about 1250 fps - you got to ask yourself if the recoil is worth it. You might also be "blowing" holes in your patterns. But if you have to shoot a load with that much velocity to make the 1187 work well - you might want to clean and lube it well first. I have an 1187 that will cycle 1175 - 1200 fps loads just fine.
Check a good reloading manual - or online before you play with any of these "Hot" loads please. I pulled the above out of the Hodgon book.
