Reloading the 7.62.25 Tokarev

Here's a good place to start:

For my CZ-52 pistol, I use 8.4grains of AA#5 behind the 85gr Sierra bullet with the Starline 7.62x25 brass, and it's a zinger! Not quite up to the Bulgarian ball ammo, but it will still get downrange in a hurry. Now if you're reloading for a Russian or Chinese Tokarev pistol, stay with the more sedate loadings.

7.62 X 25 Brass

I have been told you can form 7.62X25 Tok Brass from .223 Rem or 5.56 casings using a forming die from RCBS and a 30 caliber reamer.

I have not tried this, but the process would be labor intensive and with my ratio of success in finding brass ejected from my CZ-52 I would probably loose half of my hand-made cases on the first range trip. The CZ-52 REALLY flings the brass.
