Reloading for a 35 Whelen pump?

I'm fairly new to reloading and 100% new to reloading for my Remington 7600 pump in 35 Whelen. I picked up a box of Barnes ttsx to use in my loads but I can't find any data on how far to seat them. Does anyone have an experience with hand loading for a 7600 or with these ttsx bullets? Thanks

You seat to get a specific OAL not a bullet depth.
MAX OAL for .35 Whelen is 3.340"(The max OAL always works best for the least amount of grief.). Measured from the pointy part to the flat part. No ogives involved.
SAAMI Trim-to is 2.484" -.020". The -.020" is the tolerance. 2.484" will do nicely.
Pump guns require FL resizing every time too.

A thought on bullets. The velocity and range of the Whelen is very similar to my 338-06. You don't need premium bullets to be very effective. 200-225 Hornady or Speer will be very effective through Elk.

Just a tip. TTSX's tend to shoot better if seated a little deeper than most other bullets.

Really? That's good to know. I followed my book and loaded one with an OAL of 3.330 but when I put it in my magazine it looks like there could be some feeding issues when it comes time to shoot it. I'm thinking of bringing it down to 3.300"
