Anyone located in the Bucks PA area who would be willing to provided shotgun reloading explanation and assistance?

Anyone have a used 12 gauge press to reload buck and slugs for a competitive price?

I expect it would be a good press. Unfortunately, I have no experience loading shotgun shells.

The only reason I am posting is that 1) I didn't want you to feel neglected, since no one else has answered. ad 2) I have heard that the Lee Shotshell loaders are good.

Loading Buck and Slugs is kind of a specialty and a lot different than just loading for a shot gun . First you will need to read and read a lot loading heavy buck shot is more than putting the buck shot in and crimping . As for Slugs you will need a roll crimper and a working understanding of loading with slugs . Years ago I loaded slugs and use over powder wads and nitro cards .
Not sure how I did not kill myself doing that . You can find data mostly in older loading manuals .

As for a loading press buy a used Mec 600 JR

The Lee press...is junk...so I can't recommend you go down that path.

I have some experience loading "00" buck ...and none of the MEC presses will meter it very well / so you will end up figuring out how many "00" pellets make up 1 oz - if you're loading 1 oz shells...and then drop them into the shell after you seat the wad..../ I've reloaded shotshells for 40+ yrs / but primarily load for clay targets ( about 25,000 shells a yr in 12ga, 20ga, 28ga and .410 ) ...but I only load about 300 or so "00" shells a year for some tactical practice.../ and I don't mess with loading any slugs.

Any of the MEC presses are good machines.../ you won't get much advantage from a progressive press loading "00" buck so a single stage or maybe a Grabber model is all you'll need.

But unless you're shooting a lot of "00" or slugs...reloading isn't going to make much economic sense / that's why all the shotshell presses are setup to reload bird shot...

Mec makes a good shotshell reloader no matter what model. I have a jr that I have used forever without any problems. Have friends with the more expensive models they haven't had any problems either
