reloading .40 for a revolver

Is anyone out there reloading .40 for a revolver (for example the S&W 610)? The reason I ask is that I had about 500 rounds of .40 re-loads that I had been shooting in semi-autos (Glock and Sig). Yesterday I tried using them with moon clips in an S&W revolver. About half of them wouldn't chamber. I looked at them, and it seemed that the ones that wouldn't chamber were a little bit larger in diameter at the head end than at the bullet end, as if they hadn't re-sized down the whole length of the case. Some of the ones that were maginal, and I was able to fire, I ran through the sizing die (with it turned down as far as possible) again. Some would chamber, some wouldn't.

Has anyone run into this? If so, what is the solution other than tossing those cases?

I am sure the problem you are having is with the brass. The glock chamber is very generous and the brass is expanded more than most other 40's. The sizing die cannot fully size these down all the way to the extractor groove. There are some ways to correct this but you proably won't want too bother. I would fire them up in the sutos and if you want to load 40's for you 610 in the future use brass that was not fired in a Glock and keep it seperate for just the 610.

what bullet weight r u using? if it is 200gr, then it WILL bulge the case if u load it to normal OAL.

if the Glock loaded .40 brass is used, it might not allow u t resize the brass...but that usually occurs at the base of the brass.

brass shot out of a Glock suffer more due to the generous chamber dimensions. i have had problems using brass (and hot loads) from a Glock and then tried to use the reloaded brass in my *&* 610s.
