I have 2 shotguns, one is 2 3/4 inch and the other is a 3 inch.
Would like to load buckshot as HD loads.
These would be both sizes of shells.
Would prefer recipies with felt wad above powder to get a few pellets more in the shells. Would # 1 or # 2 buckshot be the best? Have a pack of maruading large dogs coming to my property at night and intend to thin them down as much as I can.
Would like recepies for Foster slugs, in both sizes. We hunt deer and large feral hogs with them.
Would like some information on the very new spitzer shotgun slugs. These are sabots and look alot like blackpowder rifle bullets. Sabots and bullets to get to load sabot bullets in 12 ga. 3 inch shells? My loader does not make rolled crimps, only the fully closed crimps. Suggestions? I know that the Hornady
H2K slugs are fully crimped and was wondering how they do it? A good spitzer slug from a fully rifled barred, out of a 3 inch shell, should give 200 yards for those that know their trajectories. Would use these to hunt Oklahoma"s small whitetails. For hogs I would want a much stronger bullet.
