There's a thread currently working about CZ barrel preparation. Made me remember how much I like my CZ/BRNO rifles.

Very nice.

I've had an X39 carbine for a while and now looking at a 527 223 FS or possibly the new 1:9 twist carbine. If the FS was 1:9, it would seal the deal.

My father has a CZ in .416 Rigby.

Nice gun, shoots well............but the safety just doesn't work for me, being backwards from every other rifle in the family.

FIL was Czech, so I have a wall in my gunroom devoted to Czech guns... ( I personally like the CZ-75's ), but have a nice collection representing Czech handgun manufacture from old through the CZ-75 ( haven't bought any of their plastic or alloy offerings yet ), mine are all steel...

but in rifles, I have a really sweet older magazine fed shnable fore end bolt 22 with 3 leaf sights, one of BRNO's newer straight pull bolt 22's ( that I'm going to sell, to make room for a 7.62 X 39 carbine ) one of those discontinued 22 mag semi autos, with fancy grade wood, a mag fed bolt 22 Hornet Carbine, a mag fed bolt 223 carbine, 2 - 8mm Mausers, both bolt action & sporters, one in original condition, with a nice peep sight, one with a custom stock, & scope

my custom long range rifle in 6.5 X 284 was built on an old BRNO 30-06 sporter... had the action blueprinted, & my guy said it was the most true factory receiver he'd ever worked on...

also have one of the newer original CZ manufactured ( machined receiver ) VZ-58's in 7.62 X 39 ( that CZ sold 7-8 years ago ), & an original VZ-52 that my FIL passed along, that's in very nice original shape...

sorry... don't have many pics of the rifles...

but I'll comb through & see what I have...

I guess my Czech gals are camera shy... might need to rectify that ;)
