reflex sight for .22 pistol?

I have a Browning Buckmark and I enjoy shooting it with open sights, but I thought for a change of pace, I might try a reflex sight of some kind for plinking and maybe some small game hunting. I don't want to break the bank on this thing, but could someone recommend something that would be serviceable around the $100 range?

I put a BSA holo sight on my BM but it washed out in the bright sun. I took it off and replaced it with an Ultradot and couldn't be happier. They run a little over your budget, but not much. My FIL also replaced his Fastfire2 with the same sight, for the same reason. I bought my son a Bushnell tube sight for his BM and it works fairly well. The only reflex sight that I have seen that holds up in the light is a Trijicon but they are expensive. I think I paid around $75.00 for the Bushnell. I would recommend spending the little extra money and get the Ultradot.

I have a Buckmark and this is the sight I installed on mine.

You can see it fine in daylight.

I think I got mine on sale for about $70.

One thing I suggest you do is to dump the plastic rear sight base on your gun and replace it with an aluminum rail. You can get that from Midway. Get the one with the integrated rear sight and you can have the best of both worlds.

My gun came with a tube type front sight. Some Buckmarks come with a blade sight. If yours does/did. . .you can replace that with a Highviz sight kit from Basspro.

Fixed up like that, you are good to go with optics or "iron" sights.

I shoot mine both ways.

I had my CZ Kadet tapped for a pic rail and installed a Millet dot on it.

Makes sighting absurdly easy and fun. I took it off after a couple years though as it just made the gun unbalanced and awkward. I'd much prefer something like a FastFire or similar.

I've sworn by Ultra Dot scopes for years. I had a Docter sight put on a Kimber .22 slide, and swear by it, too, though it took a bit more getting used to.

All that said™, when your eyes are as old and worn as mine, just about anything grander than an old spoon and a foot or two of duct tape amounts to an improvement.

I put a BSA holographic sight on my 44 Magnum pistol and it didn't last no time before the glass came loose. It was great while it lasted, It might have been just fine on a .22LR???

This from Cabela's was inexpensive,,,

And it's turned this Beretta into a tack-driver.

It cost me $49.95,,,
Here's the link to it.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll look over the options you've suggested and hopefully find something that strikes my fancy.
