Refinished Remington Stock (w/ PICS!)

I've had a Remington 710 since I was 18. Was the first gun I saved up and bought. I know the 710 got a bad rep, but I honestly have never had an issue with it once. Shoots just fine, and reliable as anything. If there had been more affordable, synthetic-stocked 700s, maybe I would have a different gun, but I've always been content with my decision for a first rifle.

However, the ugly grey of the stock did always detract from the aesthetics of it, and finally decided to do something about it. I got some Duracoat in Coyote Tan and I think it's a definite improvement.

Old trusty 710 with its Tru-Glo scope :D

I had a 710 in .270 Win and I'm just as sorry today as I was the day I let it go. Darn thing was one heck of a shooter. Times are tuff all over.

Congratulations on the choice & execution of the stock refinishing project. Overall the cosmetics have been improved. If you have not already

dude: Next time you send some pics, move the flowered dining room chairs out of the way---bad image for shooters.

Hahaha-lol-----just messing with you !!!!!

Yes, i think the rifle looks very nice. So long as you like the way it looks & it meets or exceeds your personal standards for accuracy, then tell others to "go suck eggs" if they disagree !!!!

Now, when you get some extra $$$$$ saved, pull the barreled action from the stock & send the whole shebang to "robar" in arizona & have it plated in their famous "np3" finish or one of their poly-finishes in desert tan.

Have fun with your project & keep them in the 10-ring !!!!
