Refinish M1A Mags

I just acquired some M1A mags which had some surface rust on the outside. Anyone have any experience refinishing these steel mags? I've seen the various products from Brownell's, and I've read about refinishing alum AR mags. If you've used these products, do you also coat the interior of the mag? Which has worked best for rust protection? Spray on and let dry, or bake on? Thanks in advance for the advice.
 
I don't know about the Gunkote stuff from Brownell's but maybe you should look into Power coating? That is what I am going to do to 10 30 round AR15 mags.
