reducing the number of shotguns...

sold four Brownings in the last month, they were just piling up! Two 12g Citoris, one 20g Citori and a mint 12g B2000, gone. Just taking up space. I have a new 12g 725 and two 20g target guns, that's enough. Even dumped a few handguns that were never used anymore.

Feels much better... :)

I really pared down my guns a few years ago, too. I really ought to sell a few more handguns and a rifle that are just taking up space too. Then I would have room in the safe and could buy a .45-70, or a .280 Remington, or another .25-06 Remington that I also totally do not need and probably wouldn't shoot too much. It's a sickness.

you're right, it is a sickness!! On the plus side, I got top dollar on all the Brownings! They hold their value better than any other brand...

Sold guns. Sold? As in you had them and now someone else owns them!? I'm not sure I understand what you are saying...

My fiend, Slugo, is getting up in years. I'm fearful this is an early sign of dementia.

If it happens to Big Jim, he's likely to flood the market and the price of Citories will plummet.

Same if it happens to a friend of mine - has he two 52-gun Browning safes full PLUS another ten hanging in a display - he shoots the same browning every time. If he was to unload, he could cure the supply issues for some models right away!

I'm not flooding the market on used Citori's ....

I'm going to take them all with me when I go .../ my bride will need a casket the size of a Land Cruiser ..( and maybe a trailer behind it ) ....but I don't care....:D
------------------
seriously, I shoot the same shotguns all the time ...or most of the time...and a lot of them just sit in the safe ..and look pretty ....

same thing on my handguns...I'm going to local indoor range today ( and I have a nice Wilson Combat 1911 in 9mm / and my Freedom Arms single action revolver in .357 mag ...) and 4 boxes of ammo for each ...

and the other 45 guns ....mostly just sit in the safe and look pretty ( kind of like me ) ....but pretty is ok !!
----------
and before you guys start screaming at me ....none of my guns are really going with me ....( well maybe some of my Wilson's, my Freedom Arms, and maybe 1 or 2 Citori's will go with me ) .....but the rest of them will go to 1 of my 2 older sons...someday...not today ....but someday ...

I could play the role of a resurrection man and free your casket of a few of the Citoris crowding your eternal resting place.

Careful ........I might ask them bury me ...like Bobby Knight suggested...face down ...so they can kiss my b ***.....

NAH TKM, while he's laying instate buy his guns and write him a check

Would a respectable man take advantage of the infirm as they are about to enter the great beyond. For guns they damn would and I don't have to worry about being called respectable.

No need to be rude! I just want to give your guns a chance to live. What do you think you are; some kind of pharoah to be entombed with all his riches!

But what if one breaks, you need backups, lots of them! When I pick up one I haven't shot in a few years it's like Christmas all over again. And I've never got a gun for Christmas.

Exactly Weatherby ....

....and although I've never had a Browning Citori break on me ...in practice or in a tournament .....I always thought it was important to have a backup gun ( so I did ) ....or two, or three..../ and a few extra cases of shells...

You can't have too many good shotguns ...when the clay target zombies try to take over the world.../ a man has to be prepared...:D

Just shipped my last expendable gun today. One that I said I wasn't going to sell. My 1993 Browning 325 12g/30". Still have plenty of stackbarrel firepower.

I'm through for now... :p

Still don't quite think I follow. "Sell" as in you had a "gun," owned it outright too, and now someone else has it and title to it? I'm confused.
