Redhawk Trigger Job

I posted in the revolver forum and didn't get much reponse. Now maybe I'm in the right place. How hard is it to improve the single action pull on a Redhawk? I'm mechanically inclined but would like to have some idea of what I will need to do the work. Which surfaces to polish? What angles to look for ? The trigger is not creepy, just hard in single action mode. Makes accurate shooting very diffficult. Any advice would be appreciated.

Having been a smith for 4 years, and since I personally own a Redhawk I did a trigger job on, I feel I can safely say that it would be best to give this job to a qualified gunsmith. As soon as you start cutting or polishing the Redhawk trigger, it will start to snub when you pull the trigger, i.e. it will feel like you suddenly jammed the cylinderas you pull the trigger. The Redhawk trigger is similar to a S&W trigger in that you have to recut multiple surfaces in order to really improve the trigger. But once you get it right, oh man, it is a beautiful trigger. Good news is that a good smith will only charge you about $75 or so to do the trigger.
