I just got back from the Range with my Super Redhawk that I just mounted my Burris 2-6x30 scope on. Thing shot like a wet-dream , yet I never could get the pistol to group consistently in the same area. The groups seemed to "wonder" across the target. I thought the rings where tight enough on the base of the gun, but when I got home and used a proper screw driver I was able to tighten the screws almost another full rotation. Could that of been my problem or is the scope possibly moving around with every shot? Now I've got them as tight as they will get, but how tight should they be?
Also, I was shooting the .44 Specials really well and they would group pretty well (except the the zero moving around on its own), but with the .44 Mags I know that I was flinching when I'd light them off. I'm still pretty new to "Big Bore" handgun shooting and have never owned a pistol with a scope before, so any advise anyone could offer in learning to shoot them well will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
