S skidder New member Aug 8, 2012 #1 I was just curious if Ruger ever made a Redhawk with the round recoil shield (non scalloped)?
G GP100man New member Aug 8, 2012 #2 I`ve owned 3 & all have been the same scalloped recoil shield , my first was an early 1 serial # was 500-001 summtin. I like the classic look & feel of the Redhawk ,not to say I don`t like a Super but it`s a massive revolver !! As I`ve ripened (aged) & shoulder/ authur problems are slowly but surely progressing I enjoy the 357s more & more.

I'm slowly gravitating to the 357 myself (Security Six). The reason I asked was somebody (water cooler story) said they once owned one with a round recoil shield. I took the story with a grain of salt so I thought I'd ask.
