Red Rose Grips

Work of art on your personal piece? Do you care enuf about it to add a little extra. Some get engraving on the metal and others work over the grips. I've seen a lot of artistic works on grips, like red rose, initials in fancy script, and other pretty fancy works of art.
I was just wondering what "extras" you did to your favorite piece, and why.
Thanks - Mac

Not on a revolver, but I had this set of AlumaGrips made up with a special logo...

I had the same idea with the Alumagrips

 Personally I like to add custom grips to just about any handgun. I usually go with either Goncalo Alves or Brazilian Rosewood. I’ve, often, thought of putting rosewood grips on my GM’s; but, so far, I haven’t found anything better than good old fashioned Pachmayr hard black rubber.

(Or to be more correct should we say pistol, ‘stocks’? This works with most everything until you get into something like the Hogue, ‘Monogrip’. It’s not a set of revolver stocks; but is it, still, a, ‘stock’ in the sense that a rifle has a stock? Apparently even the manufacturers, themselves, can’t agree on what to call these things.)

Great Pics from those who care enuf

I'll check out the AlumaGrips to see if they do revolvers. And I get a feeling that you guys care enuf to personalize the piece. I wanted to get a set of grips for my detective special. Its an old one but I love her. I was thinking of getting the ivory grips (not the real ivory) and seeing if they can put the colt logo on as well as a red rose on both sides. Don't know why I like the red rose idea, I just do. Seems to me to make the piece look like its '47 vintage -Eat your heart out Phillip Marlow - heh heh
