red dot on machine pistol

I probably would NOT try it. The pounding the sight would take would defy all imagination.

Now, a frame mount might be your answer. Still a lot of vibration, but it should not affect the sight---too much.

I'd opine that would be a pointless device on a G18. The only time you would acquire a sight picture would be on the first shot on any volley of fire. All shots in between pulls would be of the spray&pray variety 'cause there could be no way I can imagine a person could get a sight picture while the thing cycled with the slide.

this is actually the solution you are looking for

since you said machine pistol, were already talking nfa territory. if it were full auto, the fore grip will help control muzzle climb, and you could still use the red dot to aim.

someone posting the vid of the guy with the glock 18 and the fore grip in 3....2....1....

It should keep its zero on any glock model. If it holds zero for X amount of rounds on this glock it should hold up the same on another glock. 3000 rnds from a 17 is the same as 3000 rnds from an 18. Same amount of force applied in both one just goes threw em faster.
